This is our mandate.

To break the digital divide in Queensland.

This is our goal.

To enable metro-grade services, at metro-prices, to all of Queensland.

Who is QCN?

QCN is a Queensland Government-owned Corporation, jointly owned by Powerlink and Energy Queensland. QCN’s mission is to improve regional digital connectivity through leveraging the spare telecommunications capacity of Queensland government-owned assets.

QCN is an infrastructure and connectivity provider, offering carrier-grade backhaul to major carriers, government, local councils, businesses, emergency services, Internet Service Providers, and telecommunications network providers.

QCN delivers increased data capacity, critical network diversity and cost-effective connectivity, enabling major carriers to connect regional Queenslanders to national and global networks. This approach has enhanced competition, supported new investment, and driven economic growth, ensuring customers have access to world-class digital connectivity, opportunities in the emerging digital economy and price equality with metro services.
